DE Ervin Ginn (BIR) goes #1 overall!

NEW YORK -- The Birmingham Bulls drafted Ervin Ginn #1 overall in the 2017 draft. The 6' 3" DE fits the team's needs perfectly. Said Bulls general manager: "It's up to us to develop him and get good players around him."

"The great thing about the game of football is, it's a team game," Ginn said on a conference call. "I'm just going to be one piece of the puzzle."

DT John Judge (CIN) signs large free agent deal!

NEW YORK -- Anxious all week, DT John Judge was finally catching some sleep at home in Charlotte, N.C., when he found out just how serious the Cincinnati Predators were about acquiring him.

The free-agent signing period had just begun, and Judge's agent called to tell him that the Predators head coach was in town. Soon, Judge was meeting him at an executive airport.

Now, Judge is being fitted for a Predators uniform.

One of the league's top DTs and top free-agent prize agreed Friday to a 5 year contract worth $5,000,000.

"It's one thing to play football in this league and make a living, but it's a totally different thing to come to a place with a rich tradition like the Predators," Judge said.
